The contract should include the following:
  • Your name, the date, and the specific DJ's name. You want to be sure you know who is going to disc jockey your event. Some people are surprised when the representative they spoke with is not the one to DJ their party.
  • The date, time, and location of your event.
  • Balances, deposits, procedures, and special policies.
  • Requests- including the song list, and any other task to be performed by the DJ.
  • Extra charges that may apply in case the event goes longer than originally expected.
  • Specifications regarding the disc jockey's attire. If you would like them to dress in formal clothes, then it is necessary to get it in writing.
  • An alternative plan if the requested DJ cannot make it to the event. An alternate DJ should be available, or other means of supplying entertainment should be noted.
